Mandala Ensemble
Mandala Ensemble is the professional performance company of Mandala South Asian Performing Arts, presenting Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Contemporary, and Indo-Hip Hop through work that connects South Asian traditions to the realities of diasporic life in Chicago and beyond.
From concert halls to community centers, our dancers bring technical rigor in classical lineages and contemporary practices, building powerful performances rooted in storytelling.
Artistic Range
The ensemble works across Bharatanatyam, Odissi, ballet, Asian ritual performance traditions (such as Balinese dance), Indo-Hip Hop, and contemporary ballet. Rather than treating these solely as separate disciplines, our dancers often blend these forms within a single piece.
